How You Find the Product

Amazon assumes you already know what you’re searching for — you type a product name, compare listings, done. TikTok Shop works the opposite way: you see a product being used in a video first, and the buying decision starts from “that looks useful,” not from a search bar. If you already know exactly what you need, Amazon’s search is faster. If you’re browsing without a specific target, TikTok Shop surfaces things you’d never have thought to search for.

Price and Shipping

Neither platform wins outright here. Amazon’s Prime shipping is famously fast and predictable.
